Design Day, November 29th, is the “official” kickoff for our
community’s effort to build a high-quality, one-of-a-kind playground for our
children. On November 29th, a professional designer from Leathers Associates
Playground Consultants will meet spend the day meeting with our children and
other members of the community. This professional playground ‘architect’ will
listen to our children’s ideas to design a playground unique to Ballston Spa.
This important day will be charged with excitement, energy and enthusiasm! The
Design Day will begin with an evaluation of the Kelley Park playground site
building side and will travel to the schools to present followed by a series of
short “brainstorming” sessions with the students at their schools. Our kids’
ideas are then incorporated by the designer into a preliminary playground design
by the end of the school day.
The public is invited to the “reveal” of the new playground design on that night
at the Milton Terrace Cafetorium. There will be entertainment and family fun for
all!
It’s a very full day of activities, one sure to bring an amazing end result!
